WHY DO WE SING?
"Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly as you
teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and
as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with
gratitude in your hearts to God". Colossians 3: 16
WHY DO WE STAND WHEN WE SING?
"And the Levites... of the children of the Korathites,
stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud
voice." 2 Chronicles 20: 19
WHY DO WE HAVE AUDIBLE PRAISE?
"Proclaiming aloud Your praise and telling of Your
wonderful deeds." Psalm 26: 7
"I will bless the Lord at all times His praise shall
continually be in my mouth." Psalm 34: 1
WHY DO WE SING IN TONGUES AND ENGLISH?
" For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my
mind is unfruitful. So what shall I do? I will pray with
my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will
sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my
mind." 1 Corinthians 14: 14-15
WHY DO WE HAVE THIS TYPE OF WORSHIP?
"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the
true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and
Truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father
seeks. God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship
Him in Spirit and Truth." John 4: 23-24
"For it is we who are the circumcision, we who
worship by the spirit of God, who glory in Christ
Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh."

WHY DO WE CLAP OUR HANDS AND SHOUT?
"O clap your hands, all you people, shout to God with
the voice of triumph." Psalm 47: 1
WHY DO WE LIFT OUR HANDS?
"I will praise You as long as I live, and in Your name
I will lift up my hands." Psalm 63: 4
"Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the
Lord." Psalm 134:2
WHY DO WE DANCE?
"Let them praise His name in the dance, let them sing
praises unto Him with the tambourine and harp."
Psalm 149: 3
WHY DO WE BOW, KNEEL OR LAY PROSTATE?
" Come let us bow down in worship, let us kneel
before the Lord our Maker." Psalm 95: 6
WHY DO WE HAVE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS?
"Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet, praise Him
with the harp and lyre, praise Him with tambourine
and dancing, praise Him with the strings and the
flute,praise Him with the clash of cymbals."
Psalm 150: 3-5
